Floating Clock Privacy Policy

Floating Clock is published by FuryForm (“we”, “us”). It is available for Android and Windows. This policy explains what information the app uses, when anything leaves your device, and the choices you have. If you have any question, write to [email protected].

The short version

Floating Clock does not need an account and does not ask for your name, email address, contacts or location.
Your clocks, templates and settings stay on your device.
Something leaves your device only when you share a template by link, turn on network time sync, buy Premium, or when the Android app reports a crash.
There are no ads.

Information that stays on your device

The app stores your clocks, templates, images and sounds you add to a design, and your settings on your device. None of this is sent to us unless you share a template by link. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data, deletes it.

When you add an image to a clock design, you pick it with the system photo picker. The app only gets the image you choose and keeps a copy for that design.

When you tap “Get share URL”, the app uploads the template to our server so others can import it. The upload contains:

the template file, with its layers, text, colors, shapes and settings
any images and sounds you added to that template
a preview picture of the clock

The server stores these and creates a link with a random ID. We do not attach your name, account or device to the upload. The link is not listed or published anywhere by us. You decide who gets it, and you send it yourself. Anyone who has the link can see the preview and import the template, so do not put private information or images in a template you share.

Shared templates are stored with Cloudflare, which runs our server. They are kept until you ask us to delete them. To delete one, email [email protected] with the link.

Like every internet service, the server receives the IP address of the device that connects to it. Cloudflare may keep short request logs for security and to keep the service running. We do not store your IP address with shared templates.

Network time sync

Network time sync is off by default. If you turn it on, the app asks a public time server (such as time.google.com) for the current time. Only a time request is sent. Like any internet connection, the time server sees your IP address.

Crash reports (Android)

The Android app uses Firebase Crashlytics, a Google service, to tell us when the app crashes. A crash report contains technical details such as the error, the device model, the Android version, the app version, a random installation ID, and app state such as how many clocks are set up. Crash reports do not include the contents of your clocks or templates. Google handles this data under the Firebase privacy terms. The Windows app does not send crash reports.

Purchases

Floating Clock is free to use, with an optional Premium upgrade. Purchases on Android are handled by Google Play. We never see your payment details. The app only stores whether Premium is unlocked on your device. See Google’s privacy policy.

Permissions

Display over other apps: shows the clock on top of other apps. This is the app’s main feature.
Notifications and foreground service: keeps the floating clock running and shows countdown and stopwatch status.
Alarms, wake lock and vibration: makes countdown alerts go off on time.
Run at startup: restores your clocks after the device restarts, if you set that up.
Internet: used only for the features above that go online.

The app does not collect data through these permissions.

Who else receives information

Cloudflare stores shared templates and runs our server for us.
Google receives crash reports through Firebase Crashlytics and handles purchases through Google Play.
People you send a share link to can see and import that template.

We do not sell information, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone else, unless the law requires us to.

Children

Floating Clock is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

Do not share a template by link if you want it to stay only on your device. Exporting a template as a .zip file stays offline.
Network time sync can be turned off in Settings at any time.
To have a shared template deleted, or to ask about your data, email [email protected]. Depending on where you live, laws such as Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) or the EU’s GDPR may give you further rights.

Security

The app talks to our server over encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so avoid sharing templates that contain anything private.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
